James Douglas Morrison

Ο Αμερικανός James Douglas Morrison (8 Δεκεμβρίου 1943 – 3 Ιουλίου 1971) ήταν ένα πολυσύνθετο ταλέντο, ένας χαρισματικός καλλιτέχνης: τραγουδιστής, τραγουδοποιός, συγγραφέας, σκηνοθέτης, και ποιητής. Γνωστός περισσότερο σαν ο πρώτος τραγουδιστής και στιχουργός του διάσημου αμερικανικού συγκροτήματος The Doors. Πέθανε στο Παρίσι στην ηλικία 27 χρόνων. Ο Morrison παραμένει ένας από τους δημοφιλέστερους καλλιτέχνες στην ιστορία του ροκ. Ήταν πιθανώς το πρότυπο για άλλα ιδιαίτερα χαρισματικά άτομα της ροκ μουσικής της ίδιας εποχής, μεταξύ των οποίων είναι και οι Roger Daltrey και Robert Plant. Ο Morrison έχει επηρεάσει πολλούς, όπως οι Iggy Pop, Scott Weiland, Ian Astbury, Trent Reznor, Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, και Marilyn Manson μεταξύ των άλλων.
